DAVID GOODMAN NAMED ANNOUNCER OF NEWTON MOTORSPORTS PRO TENNIS CLASSIC

Sparta, NJ, April 10, 2009 - David Goodman was named today as the on-court announcer of the second annual Newton Motorsports Pro Tennis Classic charity exhibition being held on August 30th at Lake Mohawk Tennis Club. Currently, Goodman serves as on-court announcer for the Philadelphia Freedoms of the World TeamTennis Pro League, and as emcee and announcer for Elton John’s annual World TeamTennis Smash Hits charity event. "As with last year, the only person that I wanted to have behind the microphone was David,” said Event Director Mark Macler of Skyland Events LLC. “Without question, he is one of the finest on-court announcers in the game of tennis. He creates a bond with the fans, sponsors and players. David will keep everyone, including the players, on their toes. We are very fortunate that David created time in his busy schedule to accommodate this worthwhile cause." Goodman is a senior consultant with The Julian Krinsky Group in King of Prussia, PA. He was formerly the Vice President of Communications for Advanta Corp., Co-founder and CEO of The Tennis Network, and Executive Director of USTA/Eastern. This unprecedented event will benefit the Newton Memorial Hospital Foundation for improvements and upgrades to its Maternity Unit and Women’s Health Initiative.
